Can You Modify A Catalysis 3D Printed Thermoforming Tool?
In this episode of ‘Tool Time With Darrell”, President & CEO, Darrell Stafford is discussing the answer to a common question: Can you modify a Catalysis 3D printed thermoforming tool?
The answer: Yes.
It’s no different than an aluminum or wood tool. We CNC an area out of the tool. We 3D print the the piece and bond it into the tool.
Sometimes it is cheaper to print a new tool, rather than modify.
Since our tools are low cost, sometimes it’s cheaper & faster to print a new tool than it is to modify a tool that has a couple areas that need modified.
Modification requirements are always case by case whether a customer decided to modify a tool or print new.
