Our 3D printed tooling has found a perfect fit for various automotive applications. We've done many automotive thermoforming projects (including fender flares, interior door panels, wheel well liners), foam part manufacturing for seating and compression forming for NVH barrier materials to reduce noise & vibration.

IMPORTANT INFO:
- Catalysis 3D printed tooling applications for the automotive industry
- Thermoforming applications include: fender flares, interior door panels, wheel well liners
- Foam part manufacturing for seating (We can either provide one tool for one seat foam piece or all foam tools needed for the entire vehicle)
- Compression forming for NVH barrier materials to reduce noise & vibration

Using 3D Printed Tooling can reduce cost and delivery time by 50%. Don't waste your TIME or MONEY on expensive tooling that takes a long time to complete!

We can do the same thing for you & your business. Discover the many benefits that come with utilizing our Catalysis 3D printed tooling technology! Visit catalysis3d.com for more information.

Catalysis 3D Printed Tooling For Automotive Applications

On this episode of 'Tool Time with Darrell', President & CEO, Darrell Stafford is discussing the answer to a common question: Can you modify a Catalysis 3D printed thermoforming tool?

IMPORTANT INFO:
- Can you modify a Catalysis tool? The answer: yes
- It's no different than an aluminum or wood tool. We CNC an area out of the tool, 3D print the the piece and bond it into the tool.
- Sometimes it is cheaper to print a new tool, rather than modify
- Since our tools are low cost, sometimes it's cheaper & faster to print a new tool than it is to modify a tool that only has a couple areas that need modified. Rather than designing an insert & bonding it in.
- Modification requirements are always case by case whether a customer decided to modify a tool or print a new tool

Using 3D Printed Tooling can reduce cost and delivery time by 50%. Don't waste your TIME or MONEY on expensive tooling that takes a long time to complete!

Tool Time With Darrell | Can You Modify A Catalysis 3D Printed Thermoforming Tool?

We've been applying water conditioned tools for foam part manufacturing for 2 years now. Catalysis is now capable of using the same process to use water to cool our thermoforming tools! Listen to President & CEO, Darrell Stafford discuss how we are able to use water to pull heat out of the tool to cool & set the part.

IMPORTANT INFO:
- We've been using water conditioned tools for foam part manufacturing to put heat into the tool
- We are now using the same process we've been using for foam part manufacturing tools to pull heat out of thermoforming tools
- Semicrystalline (PE) materials puts a lot of heat into the tools, water helps pull the heat out of the tool
- Keeps the same cycle time as an aluminum tool, at a significant cost reduction

Using 3D Printed Tooling can reduce cost and delivery time by 50%. Don't waste your TIME or MONEY on expensive tooling that takes a long time to complete!
