3D Printed Thermoforming Tool For A Forklift Roof Cover

In this episode of ‘Tool Time With Darrell’, President & CEO Darrell Stafford is discussing a recent project where we used reverse engineering from a fiberglass part to make a mass production thermoforming tool and CNC trim tool. We did this by laser scanning the fiberglass part and modified the fiberglass part design to make it adaptable with the thermoforming process.

IMPORTANT INFO:
- Reverse engineered from a fiberglass part to a thermoforming and CNC trim tool
- For mass production tooling
- Laser scanned the fiberglass part
- Modified the fiberglass part design to make compatible with the thermoforming process
- Using thermoforming process requires less cost and is more environmentally friendly than fiberglass part forming
