SIZE: 60″ x 40″ with a 19″ draw from the tallest part of the tool
To accommodate for the large undercut, we made a large hand load insert out of ren wood
For prototype parts
Roughly 100 parts will be formed off of this tool
We use 3D printing for our tooling, but ren wood made more sense from a cost perspective for the hand load insert. Price of hand load ren wood piece was $3500, entire tool (including complete tool design, manufacturing, base assembly) was $6500.
